Terms of Use

Effective date: May 8, 2026. We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected here with an updated effective date where practical. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms to the extent permitted by law.

Agreement

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern access to and use of the For After Me website and related preview or demonstration experiences we make available (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

Eligibility

You must be able to form a binding contract where you live (for most users, at least 18 years old). If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

The Service today

The Service is under active development. Features, availability, performance, and security posture may change without notice. Preview, demo, or staging deployments may use sample data only. Nothing on this site is an offer to sell or insure anything unless we say so plainly at checkout or in a separate agreement.

Accounts

Where sign-in is enabled, you are responsible for activity under your account and for maintaining credential secrecy where applicable. Notify us through official channels we publish if you believe your account has been compromised.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Violate law or infringe others' rights;
  • Probe, disrupt, or overload systems (including scraping beyond reasonable indexing norms), except as expressly permitted;
  • Attempt unauthorized access to data, accounts, or networks; or
  • Misrepresent identity or affiliation in connection with the Service.

Your content

You retain rights to content you submit. To operate the Service, you grant us a limited license to host, process, transmit, display, and back up your content as needed to provide and improve the Service, enforce these Terms, and comply with law. Features that hold vault-grade information will include clearer controls and commitments as they ship.

Third-party services

We may integrate sign-in or infrastructure from third parties (for example OAuth providers). Their terms and privacy notices apply to your relationship with them.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory—including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement—to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither For After Me nor its suppliers or licensors will be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Service. Our aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service in any twelve-month period will not exceed the greater of one hundred U.S. dollars (US $100) or the amounts you paid us for the Service in that period (which may be zero during previews).

Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify us against claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or law, except to the extent caused by our willful misconduct.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time, including for breach or operational reasons. You may stop using the Service at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive will survive termination.

Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Delaware have exclusive jurisdiction for disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, subject to mandatory protections in your jurisdiction where applicable.

Operator counsel should confirm venue, dispute resolution, and any arbitration or class-action provisions before launch.

Contact

General questions about these Terms: we will publish official contact details on the marketing site before broad public launch.

Important notice

These terms are starter language for an early-stage product. Have qualified counsel review them—especially liability caps, governing law, and dispute resolution—before inviting paying users or handling regulated data at scale.
